■ Surface preparation and application
PU Two Component Material Coating
■ Usages:
Tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, handball court, indoor stadium.
This PU court coating material is a two component polyurethane coating material; it cures to form a seamless and flexible colorful court. Mix the main component and the hardener according to the mixing ratio. The application procedures are as following:
1. Surface preparation
1. The surface should be dry and remove all dirt.
2. Removed all foreign matter prior to application.
3. Surface must be well compacted and smooth on.
4. Surface preparation must have to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Application
1. Surface preparation:
Surface must be clean. Remove all dirt and other foreign matter by sandblasting or mechanical
abrasion.
2. Maintenance period:
For the new R.C. floor, allowed the cement substrate to completely dry and stable for 3 -4 weeks prior
to install the PU court coating material.
3. Moisture content test:
Using the clear plastic film to cover up the surface and sealed the edge with tape. Wait for 2-4 hours to
see there has any dew on the plastic film; do not apply if the plastic film has any dew on it.
4. Priming:
Apply the primer with a roller. Allowed to dry prior to next application.
5. Mixing:
a. Must cover up the surface prior mixing the material
b. The cap should be cleaned up.
c. Firstly, pour the component B (transparent liquid) into the mixing drum then add the component A
(color liquid) into it and mixing thoroughly.
d. Mixing the material until a uniform color with no streaks.
6. Base coat:
Pour the mixing material onto the substrate and spread with a serrate trowel to a required thickness.
7. Level:
Allow the base coat to cure for 8 hours, then flooded the surface to make sure the surface is leveled or
not, marked any uneven area and patched the marked area with the additional coat.
8. Top coat:
After patching and leveling, apply the second coat to the required thickness.
9. Anti-slip treatment:
Apply top coat with anti-slip powder proportionally by roller or spray
10. Line marking:
a. Line marking should be applied with Tennis Court Standard.
b. Line marking: all line markings should be applied with the Weather Resistance Line Marking Paint.
3. Limitation
1. The product should be kept away from ignition sources.
2. Do not apply when rain is imminent or relative humidity is above 85%.
3. Mix component A with component B according to the mixing ratio.
4. Must have to refer to the guidance while application.
5. Apply is not recommended when the moisture content of the application surface is higher than 8%.
